What is AI for preconstruction?
It is a system that takes what a contractor gathers before a job is won, the site visit, measurements, photos and trade prices, and drafts the scope, estimate and proposal for a person to review. The goal is to remove the wait in front of one busy estimator.
Can AI write a construction or roofing estimate?
It can draft one from measurements and a written price list. The quantities and dollars should come from plain code, and a person approves every estimate before a customer sees it. Any trade without a written price stays a human line.
How do I automate estimating without losing accuracy?
Write down your price per trade from real past estimates first. Then automate one step at a time and test each step by replaying a job you already won. If a step can not reproduce what you actually sold, it is not ready.
Do I have to replace Jobber or my measurement app?
No. The chain works around the tools your team already uses. Connections need care: Jobber, for example, replaces its sign-in token each time it is used, so a careless test can force the office to sign in again.
Can it draft proposals too?
Yes. Once the scope and price are approved, the same data fills the proposal so nobody retypes it. A person still reviews the proposal before it is sent.
